Irish Times Miami Where Ireland comes to South Florida 2009-05-04T20:36:54Z WordPress http://irishtimesmiami.com/?feed=atom admin <![CDATA[Come join us for Sunday Brunch !]]> http://irishtimesmiami.com/?p=21 2009-04-15T21:03:08Z 2009-04-15T19:39:37Z p90736-kinsale_ireland-irish_breakfast.jpg A Traditional Irish Breakfast is a hearty meal that starts the day in Ireland. Served as an Ulster Fry in the North or an Irish Breakfast at any restaurant or Bread & Breakfast in the South, this recipe is not for those on a low-fat or low-cholesterol diet! It consists of:

• Irish Bacon (“Rasher”)
• Irish Sausage
• Fried tomatoes
• Eggs
• Baked Beans
• Mushrooms
• Black Pudding
• White Pudding
• Toast

Pudding for most of us in the states conjures up images of a sweet creamy desert - but not this pudding. The black pudding component of this traditional breakfast is actually a blood pudding. The white pudding is similar, but rather than containing blood, it is comprised mostly of pork fat and spices.

With a pint of Guinness this meal is guaranteed to set you up for the day!
